Rock Bottom: First of all, thanks for your time, Josh and Bill, here are the questions: What can you tell us about the rebirth of Toxic? Why have you reformed again the band in 2013 and not before?
Toxic: There were a couple of attempts to get the band back together before that, but the timing wasn't right and it didn't really come together until 2013.

Rock Bottom: The album "In Humanity" was announced to be released in summer 2014, but now the release date is 2016, what happened?
Toxic: A few things really. We hit the road and did a couple of European tours last year. Then Jason left the band and we have yet to fill his shoes with a permanent drummer. We have also been spending a lot of time preparing for this, our first tour here in Latin America. The album however is still in progress and we'll continue working on it when we get back.

Rock Bottom: Sus dos discos "World Circus" y "Think This" son dos grandes piezas de thrash metal, con grandes canciones, no podemos esperar menos de "In Humanity" el año que viene!

Toxic: ¡Gracias por el cumplido!

Rock Bottom: Your two albums "World Circus" and "Think This" are great thrash metal pieces, with awesome songs, we can't expect less from "In Humanity" the next year!
Toxic: Thank you for the compliment!

Rock Bottom: Why did the band split in the '90ies?
Toxic: The biggest reason was we had very little support from the label. Due to the frustration of the label not supporting the band, we disbanded.

Rock Bottom: Back in the '80ies TOXIC made great music, great shows, etc. do you have an explanation of why the band did not go massive?
Toxic: Basically the same reasons could apply from the previous question. Label support was a huge part of a bands success more so now than it is today. With out support for touring and promotion a label basically starved out their own bands. Who knows how far the band could have gone with the proper support backing it.

Rock Bottom: How do you see the thrash metal movement nowadays?
Toxic: There seems to have been a resurgence in the thrash metal genre, at the tail end of last year we did a show at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn with Vektor which was a killer show. Vektor is a great example of the thrash scene's relevance today. It seems there are a bunch of younger guys who have taken to the genre and are keeping thrash alive and well.

Toxic: ¡Nos sentimos bien!
Rock Bottom: The last year you toured together for first time in after two decades, how did you feel on stage?
Toxic: We felt good! The energy between us is good and the energy we get from the people in response to our shows is awesome!

Rock Bottom: This year you are playing for the first time in South America, what are your expectations?
Toxic: Latin American fans have been waiting for Toxik to come down and play shows for a long time. We expect to see a lot of faces, make some new friends, and tear it up for these people!
We're going to give you guys our all and expect nothing less than crazy energy and moshing in return!
